The agricultural sector is undergoing a rapid transformation driven by digital technologies, advanced data analytics, and artificial intelligence. In the face of increasing climate variability and extreme weather events, global food systems are encountering unprecedented challenges. In this evolving landscape, agrometeorological intelligence is emerging as a critical component for building resilient, sustainable, and efficient farming systems in the era of digital agriculture.
INAGMET 2026 envisages bringing together researchers, innovators, policymakers, industry leaders, and stakeholders to explore the latest advancements in agricultural meteorology and digital agriculture. The conference will emphasize the integration of climate science, precision agriculture tools, big data analytics, and emerging digital platforms to empower farmers, optimize resource utilization, and enhance climate resilience across agricultural systems.
Centered around the theme “Agrometeorological Intelligence for Digital Agriculture,” the conference aims to foster dialogue, innovation, and collaborative partnerships that support the development of smarter agricultural systems capable of responding effectively to both present and future challenges.
It is our privilege and honour to invite you to INAGMET-2026, an International Conference on “Agrometeorological Intelligence for Digital Agriculture”, to be held at the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore, India. The event will provide a global platform for scientists, professionals, policymakers, industry representatives, and agricultural stakeholders to exchange knowledge, foster collaborations, and advance innovations in agrometeorology for weather-smart and climate-resilient agriculture.
The Association of Agrometeorologists (AAM) is a non-profit professional body established in 1999 under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, with its headquarters at the Department of Agricultural Meteorology, Anand Agricultural University, Anand, Gujarat. The Association is dedicated to advancing the science and application of agricultural meteorology and allied disciplines for the benefit of agriculture and society.
Over the years, AAM has grown into a vibrant professional network with more than 2000 life members and 22 regional chapters across India. The Association actively promotes scientific exchange, education, and collaboration by organizing national and international conferences, seminars, workshops, and training programs on emerging themes related to agrometeorology, climate science, and sustainable agriculture.
AAM also publishes the Journal of Agrometeorology [ISSN 0972-1665 (Print); 2583-2980 (Online)], a peer-reviewed scientific journal indexed in leading databases, providing an important platform for researchers and professionals to disseminate innovative findings in agricultural meteorology and climate-related sciences.
To recognize scientific excellence and nurture young researchers, the Association confers several prestigious awards including the Best Ph.D. Thesis Award, Best M.Sc. Thesis Award, Young Scientist Award, Senior Scientist Award, and Best Paper Award. These initiatives aim to encourage innovation, strengthen scientific contributions, and inspire the next generation of agrometeorology professionals.
Become a part of the growing community of agrometeorology professionals and contribute to advancing climate-resilient agriculture. Join the Association of Agrometeorologists (AAM) and connect with researchers, scientists, and experts across India and the world.

The University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS), Bangalore is one of the premier institutions in India dedicated to agricultural education, research, and extension. The University has been accredited with an A+ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in 2025, reflecting its commitment to excellence in agricultural sciences and innovation.
The foundation of the institution dates back to 1899, when a small agricultural research farm was established on 30 acres of land at Hebbal, Bengaluru. The land was generously donated by Her Excellency Maharani Kempa Nanjammanni Vani Vilasa Sannidhiyavaru, the Regent of Mysore. The University was formally inaugurated on 21 August 1964 by Dr. Zakir Hussain, the then Vice President of India, who envisioned the institution as a catalyst for transforming rural life and strengthening the agricultural economy of the nation.
The University officially came into existence on 1 October 1965 with the transfer of the Colleges of Agriculture at Hebbal (Bengaluru) and Dharwad, the Veterinary College at Hebbal, and a network of 35 research stations located across different parts of Karnataka. In addition, 45 ICAR schemes from the State Departments of Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, and Fisheries were integrated into the University system.
Over the past six decades, UAS Bangalore has made remarkable contributions to Indian agriculture by developing more than 500 locally relevant agricultural technologies that have significantly enhanced farm productivity and sustainability. The University has also released over 322 improved crop varieties that are widely adopted by farmers across the country.
The University maintains strong academic and research partnerships with several prestigious national and international institutions. Through its integrated approach to education, research, and extension, UAS Bangalore continues to play a vital role in strengthening agricultural innovation, improving farmer livelihoods, and supporting sustainable agricultural development in India.
